Services for citizens involve personal data, so the solution had to comply with GDPR and with security standards before anything else. At the same time it had to serve a large user base (15k+ users).

A custom model-driven Power Apps solution for secure citizen services, built on Dataverse and designed to comply with GDPR and security standards.
Result
The solution serves 15,000+ users and is 100% security compliant, in line with GDPR and security standards.
How we approach projects like this
The following is the general approach we apply to public-sector Power Apps. It describes our method, not a list of project-specific settings.
- Model-driven apps for process-heavy, form-based services, using native Dataverse forms and security.
- A security model designed first: roles, row-level and column-level security in Dataverse.
- Controlled environments and release: development, test and production, with automated deployment.
- DLP policies so that data cannot flow to connectors that are not approved.
